Bakrie Group Issuer ALII Targets to Manage 127 Ships by 2024

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Issuer of Bakrie Group, PT Ancara Logistics Indonesia Tbk (ALII) is targeting the addition of tug boats and river barges to 70 and 57 units respectively by the end of the year. President Director of Ancara Logistics Indonesia Faisal Mohamad Nur said the target of adding river barge and tug boat assets was still in line with the plan before the IPO. “We expect that by the end of the year the river barges are expected to be 57 units while the tug boats are 70 units,” Faisal said in a public expose on Monday (24/6/2024). More clearly, Faisal said that until now, ALII has 40 units of self-owned river barges with a total of 42 units in operation. ALII is also waiting for 12 new barge units, of which 8 units have a capacity of 180 feet and will be received no later than the third quarter of 2024.

More clearly, Faisal said that until now, ALII has 40 units of self-owned river barges with a total of 42 units in operation. ALII is also waiting for 12 new barge units, of which 8 units have a capacity of 180 feet and will be received no later than the third quarter of 2024.

Meanwhile, for tugboat vessels, ALII currently has 40 self-owned units with a total of 45 operating units.

Faisal explained that 9 tugboat units are under construction and ALII will still order another 16 new units.

On the other hand, ALII also has 2 assist tugs and 1 floating transshipment unit (FTU).

In addition to its own fleet, ALII also operates leased fleet. As of December 2023, ALII has 15 sets of river barges and tug boats with freight charter system, 12 sets of sea barges and tugboats with time charter mechanism and 2 assist tugs with time charter mechanism.

Apart from the addition of vessels, Faisal explained that other strategies that will be implemented are increasing the capacity of intermediate stockpiles and adding floating transshipment units.
